Just like any other firehouse, our guys sometimes pull harmless pranks on each other. This is the truck of our Halloween Spooktacular coordinator. While he was in the office working on our upcoming event, the guys snuck out and did this. We hope you get a laugh out of it just as much as we did. Dont forgot the Spooktacular is happening this year October 31st from 7-9pm. Can't wait to see yall and maybe some of your favorite characters will be showing up soon 👻👀🎃

Our heartfelt condolences goes out to the family, friends and colleagues of Nash County EMS Director, Dale Griffin. Dale was more than a director; he was a true friend, a trusted guide and a dedicated mentor to countless first responders. The standard of care and leadership he set in Nash County will be exceptionally difficult to match, but his spirit will live on through the lives he touched and the professionals he lead. Rest easy Dale, you will be missed.

What do our firemen do after burning the midnight oil all week for July 4th festivities? We chill out in the ice trailer after the show and crack some jokes! We hope you enjoyed everything Castalia had to offer and we're already pumped for next year's bash!

On June 6, 2026, the Castalia Fire Department conducted a successful live fire training exercise that provided firefighters with valuable hands-on experience in fire suppression, search and rescue, ventilation, and incident command operations.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all departments and agencies that participated and helped make this training possible. Thank you to the Nashville Fire Department, Red Oak Fire Department, Salem Fire Department, White Level Fire Department, Coopers Fire & Rescue, Nash County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for your support, professionalism, and commitment to firefighter training and safety.

Training opportunities such as these strengthen interagency partnerships, enhance operational readiness, and ensure firefighters are prepared to serve their communities safely and effectively. The teamwork, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated throughout the day were outstanding.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this training event.
