Update:
Water Main break has been fixed and water restored to the area of Price Chopper, Ulster Greene ARC, Ambrosia Diner, Highland ave, Cauterskill Ave. These areas remain under boil water advisory until further notice. These areas ONLY. This notice will continue tell samples are taken in the area and pass Department of Health regulations. This could take up to 1 Week.

GREAT NEWS!!! WE HAVE FINALLY REACHED THE MILESTONE OF PAVING TO END MAJOR CONSTRUCTION ON MAIN STREET IN THE VILLAGE OF CATSKILL!!

TO MAKE THIS PROCESS SEAMLESS AND AS EFFICIENT AS POSSIBLE PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING NOTICE BELOW.

THERE WILL BE NO PARKING ON MAIN STREET FROM THOMPSON STREET TO DUTHMAN'S LANDING FROM 6AM-7PM MONDAY OCTOBER 19, 2026, TO FRIDAY OCTOBER 23, 2026, ON BOTH THE ODD AND EVEN SIDES OF THE STREET.

IF YOUR CAR IS PARKED ANYWHERE ON MAIN ST FROM THOMPSON STREET TO DUTCHMAN'S LANDING DURING THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED TIMES IMPEDING THIS WORK, YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED AT YOUR EXPENSE.

PLEASE USE ANY ADJACENT PARKING LOTS TO PARK DURING THESE HOURS, ANY SIDEBLOCKS, AND DUTCHMAN'S LANDING INCLUDING THE LOT OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE EXIT OF DUTHMAN'S LANDING.

IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, PLEASE CONTACT CATSKILL PD SO WE CAN ASSIST WITH AN ALTERNATE PLAN FOR YOU.

Good morning.
There is a water main break on the line that feeds thru the woods to Cauterskill ave. At this time there is low water pressure or no water to price chopper, ulster Greene arc, ambrosia diner, highland ave, Cauterskill Ave. these areas are on a boil water advisory tell further notice. We do not have a time frame for restoration.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Good afternoon.
On Monday October 12th the Water Department will be conducting a required fire flow test on the Greene Medical Arts building. This test will be done between 5:00 am and 6:00 am. During this time there maybe a point of low water pressure thru out the system.

Good evening everyone
A quick brief on the events today that has caused the discoloration of the water in the system.
This morning Superintendent Rowell was advised at 6:20 am by Catskill Police of a possible water main break at the intersection of Water Street and Bridge Street. It was confirmed to be a break and was repaired by DPW and Water crews.
Than at approximately 4:20 pm Superintendent Rowell was advised by Mullen (Contractor for Central Hudson) that they had struck a line and had rushing water. Once the area was isolated it was determined to be an old line to the old Daily Mail building that must have not been discontinued from the system. Water main was repaired and system recharged.
The quick rush of water to the area where Mullen found an unmarked line that we were not aware of and the break we had this morning on the same 12” water main cause the Turbity in the water from the sudden rush. The color will come out of the water over the next few hours.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused any of are consumers.

The Dpw along with Water dept will be digging a water main break at water st and bridge st. Water street will be closed from Bridge st to Factory st.

Good evening everyone.
The Village Water Department will begin flushing the entire system starting August 11th at 7am. This will continue each day until the system is flushed out. The entire system may experience low water pressure and some turbity in the water over the next few days.
This does NOT mean we are lifting the boil water advisory but starting the next steps in the process of the water testing
At this time the boil water advisory remains in affect until further notice.
We appreciate your patience and will continue to work to get the advisory lifted.

The water main break on west Main Street is fixed and west Main Street is reopened.
