Town of Cavour This is the Official Page for the Town of Cavour (Cavour, SD 57324). The information on this page is brought to you by the Town Board.

Our goal is to keep all informed and engaged in community happenings of all subjects. Cavour is located 6 miles East of Huron, SD; right on Highway 14. Cavour, South Dakota, was established in 1880. The town was named for Camilla Benso, Count of Cavour (an Italian Statesman). (Source: Wikipedia)

As of the 2010 Census, there were 114 people, 56 households, and 30 families residing in the town.

Parents please tell your children to stay off of the chip pile. I know it doesn’t look dangerous but they could receive slivers or worse yet eye damage if they happened to fall head first. We installed the park equipment for their enjoyment. Thank you!

If it is your children climbing in the trees at to the park and breaking the branches out please ask them to quit. Please accompany your children to the park so you are aware of what they are doing.

In the first phase of the town cleanup we targeted old vehicles. The town will begin the second phase in the spring and we will be targeted old buildings and trash piles in yards. Please consider doing your part to cleanup our town before we have to start the legal process which creates legal fees that are billed to the property owner.
