Bulldogs Have a LOT to Celebrate!

We turned up the energy at BCAA with a pep rally celebrating our 1st Quarter achievements, our GOOD rating on the SC School Report Card, our fall athletes, and our Faculty Kindness Awards!

We loved recognizing our students for their hard work in the classroom, celebrating our fall athletes for their dedication and teamwork, and honoring our faculty members who go above and beyond to spread kindness and make Busbee a special place!

A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Lambert for keeping the excitement going as our awesome emcee and Mrs. Barbrey for making sure everything was ready for a fantastic celebration!

A BIG shoutout to Mr. Reece and our Bulldog Band for bringing the music, school spirit, and AMAZING energy!

We have so much to be proud of at Busbee, and there’s nothing better than celebrating our success together!

Bulldogs are ROCKING EXCELLENCE!

Mrs. Shea’s 6th grade mathematicians are ROCKING math! Students were hard at work using algebra tiles to explore integer operations! Through the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) approach, our Bulldogs are building a stronger understanding of math by moving from hands-on models to pictures and abstract thinking. We love seeing their confidence and problem-solving skills grow!

Our 8th grade Bulldogs had an awesome day at USC’s Molinaroli College of Engineering!

Students explored careers in engineering and put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with hands-on challenges! From launching bubble rockets to building Mars rovers and marble roller coasters, our Bulldogs got a taste of what engineers do!

They wrapped up the day with lunch and some fun on USC’s historic Horseshoe!

What a great day of learning, exploring, and discovering future possibilities! Thank you Mrs Lambert for making this day possible for@our students.

We were excited to welcome members of the South Carolina Department of Education to Busbee today! They spent time talking with our administrators, teachers, coaches, and students about the exciting progress we’re making in math through the Palmetto Math Project!

With support from Zearn Math, high-quality instructional materials, professional learning, and instructional coaching, our Bulldogs are building confidence, strengthening their math skills, and making big gains! 📈

We are proud to be part of the Palmetto Math Project and even prouder to see our students discovering that THEY ARE MATH PEOPLE! 🌟

Ms. Cathou’s 8th grade scientists were busy exploring the power of magnets! Students created their own compasses, built electromagnets, and investigated magnetic attraction and repulsion.
Lots of hands-on learning, discovery, and fun as our Bulldogs put science into action!
