We are participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA this coming Saturday. Unused medication can be dropped off at the public safety center.

Accepted Medication:
✅Tablets and Capsules
✅Patches
✅Ointments and other solid forms of prescription drugs
✅Liquid medicine in original container (only during takeback event)
✅Pet prescriptions

🏃‍♀️Busy on Saturday? Our drug take back receptacle is available to receive your unused medications 24/7 - 365 in the front vestibule of the public safety center.

CEDAR FALLS PUBLIC SAFETY RESPONDS TO GARAGE FIRE

Cedar Falls – On October 14, 2026, at approximately 4:14 AM, Cedar Falls Public Safety was dispatched to 201 Spruce Hills Drive for a garage fire. Public Safety Officers arrived on scene and assisted an individual from the residence. Public Safety Officers then extinguished the fire. All residents were out safely, and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Cedar Falls Public Safety was assisted by Black Hawk County Consolidated Dispatch, MercyOne Ambulance, and Cedar Falls Utilities.

When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails, it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly. For more info: fpw.org.
