Our 6th‑grade Individual Design STEM showcase highlighted student innovation and problem‑solving! 🛠️

Students identified real problems, designed 3D solutions online, and created posters to advertise their products. Staff visited the showcase to hear presentations, offer feedback, and celebrate the hard work and creativity on display. Fantastic job, Wildcats—future engineers in the making! 🚀

Good afternoon, Hanover families,

Last night, the Trustees of the Hanover Community School Corporation approved the plan, developed with the Indiana Department of Education and HCSC Administration, to address missed days caused by the August 11 Derecho storm and the extended power outages that affected our community.

With this plan no days will be added to our established calendar.
However, the following calendar revisions will take effect:
• Eliminate the remaining two planned eLearning days (12/9 and 1/27), and those will be in-person instruction days.
• Remove the early release days for Grades 9-12 on 12/17 and 12/18. Those will be full regular days.
• Remove the early release days for Grades 9-12 on 5/27 and 5/28. Those will be full regular days.
• Reclassify two “No School” days as “Vacation/Virtual Makeup” days to allow for potential snow days without adding days to the calendar. Those days are January 18 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) and February 15 (President’s Day). If not needed, those will remain days off for students and staff.

We appreciate the patience, flexibility, and understanding shown by our students, families, and staff throughout the disruptions caused by the storm. Thank you for your continued support as we move forward with the school year.

Please find the new calendar attached, and we hope you are enjoying your well-deserved break!
