๐ Hello, October! ๐
Can you believe October is already here?! Our 5th and 6th graders are off to a fantastic start, and we are rocking our attendance goals! ๐ Thank you for prioritizing school attendanceโwhen your child is feeling well, having them here makes all the difference in their learning and our school community.
As our students continue growing and becoming more independent, they still benefit from a little guidance and check-ins from home. Here are a few October reminders to help keep our school routines running smoothly:
๐ซง Gum & Drinks: Please keep gum at home! Only plain water is allowed in classrooms and lockers. Colored and flavored drinks should stay at home or be saved for lunch.
๐ Healthy Snacks: If your childโs classroom has a snack break, please send a healthy snack to help keep their brains fueled and focused.
๐งธ Toys & Fidgets: Squishies, stress balls, NeeDohs, and similar items can be big distractions. Please keep these items at home.
๐ชช Student IDs: Students need to bring their ID card every day for the lunch line and bus transportation.
๐ Morning Drop-Off: Parent drop-off begins at 7:30 AM. Adult supervision in drop-off areas and hallways begins at 7:30, so please make sure students exit vehicles when adults are on duty.
๐งฅ Dress for the Weather: October weather is here! Bus riders are outside before school, and students have a 15-minute recess unless temperatures are below 10ยฐ. Please send your child dressed in layers, jackets, or coats appropriate for cooler fall temperatures.
Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and help in reinforcing these routines at home! Together, we can keep our students learning, growing, and soaring to success! ๐งก๐ค๐ฆ
