Cedar Rapids Firefighters Foundation Our mission is to have a direct impact on the social, physical, and mental welllbeing of families.

The Cedar Rapids Firefighters Foundation was created in 2012 and is managed by firefighters and civilians who volunteer their service and are dedicated to helping children and firefighters living in Iowa. Our foundation hosts several fundraisers throughout each year and participates in many memorials, services and activities throughout the state. Following many successful years of providing support and charitable donations to Iowans, we decided to create our 501c (3) non-profit to better assist our endeavors. While Iowa citizens are well aware of the professional skills and care provided to them by firefighters, our foundation wishes to enhance our presence within the community. To date, our foundation has donated over $150,000 back to organizations that assist children living in Iowa.

We are incredibly proud to have Jill on our Cedar Rapids Firefighter Foundation team! It is no surprise to see our friends at de Novo Marketing celebrating her dedication.

Jill is an invaluable asset to our board, bringing incredible insight to everything we do. We are doubly grateful because the talented team at de Novo also lends their creativity to managing and updating our webpage, making our partnership with them even more special.

We are incredibly lucky to have you on our team, Jill—thanks for everything you do!

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Pipe Pro, Inc. for their incredible donation of $8,662.00 to the Cedar Rapids Firefighters Foundation!

These generous funds were raised during their 15th Annual 15K Fly Away Golf Outing held on September 11, 2026.

This amazing contribution will go directly toward supporting our core mission of assisting firefighter families in times of need. These funds provide a vital safety net, allowing us to deliver critical relief and support to our local Cedar Rapids Fire Department families—and neighboring firefighter families—when they face unexpected hardships and difficult times.

Community partners like Pipe Pro make it possible for us to stand by our first responders when they need it most. Thank you to everyone who organized, sponsored, and played in this year's outing!

As an organization dedicated to the health and well-being of our local families and firefighters, we want to share some important educational updates with our supporters. Local media partners from KCRG-TV9, KWWL, Iowa's News Now, and The Gazette recently toured several Cedar Rapids fire stations. Their coverage highlights the structural and health challenges facing these aging facilities—including the critical need to build modern cancer-prevention barriers that protect crews from toxic vehicle carcinogens. A $60 million CRFD facility bond measure will be on the ballot for Cedar Rapids voters this November. We encourage everyone in our community to take a look at the media coverage below to learn about the current state of our city's stations and how these proposed upgrades impact public safety.

We loved hosting Sue Novak and friends at the Central Fire Station on Friday, July 24 at the Cedar Rapids Fire Department Central Fire Station! They won this exclusive station tour and dinner experience as an auction item from the Cedar Rapids Parks Foundation Beers in the Barnyard event!
Community support like this keeps us moving forward. A huge thank you to Sue and her crew for spending the evening with us, and to our dedicated crew members who are always ready to protect and serve at a moment's notice! You all make Cedar Rapids a safer, better place. ❤
