What an incredible day for our Nepali community at Asian Fest! NRNA Iowa Chapter was proud to work together with Eastern Iowa Nepali Community to bring the spirit, culture, food, and community of Nepal to the festival through our Nepal Village, cultural performances, and Momo stall.
Our Momo stall was a huge hit! It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying one of Nepal’s favorite foods while connecting with our community. Even more meaningful, a portion of the proceeds raised from the stall will be contributed toward supporting Nepal flood victims.
The Nepal Village also saw tremendous engagement throughout the day. We sincerely thank Rebuild Nepal Education Foundation for sharing their important work in Nepal’s education sector and for engaging visitors by displaying and explaining traditional Nepali artifacts, helping everyone learn more about our heritage and culture.
And what a performance from our amazing dancers! From our talented little ones to our wonderful young ladies, they truly lit up the stage and received tremendous applause from the audience. Their energy, confidence, and beautiful performances made us all proud.
Most importantly, this success belongs to everyone who contributed—our Momo stall volunteers, those who spent countless hours preparing Momos before the event, Nepal Village volunteers, Rebuild Nepal Education Foundation, performers, coaches, parents, organizers, and every person who worked behind the scenes.
Thank you for helping us make Nepal seen, heard, and celebrated in our wider community.
Together, we are not only preserving our culture, we are sharing it, strengthening our community, and creating a lasting connection with the communities around us.
धन्यवाद सबैलाई! 🙏
