Sierra TrailBlazers Running Club Recreational and competitive running club. Includes jogging and walking enthusiasts as well.

The STRC is located in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area of the Northern California Gold Country. We are committed to the improvement of health and physical fitness for people of all ages and ability levels. The club is also a source of information and support to runners and walkers. The club provides a monthly newsletter including a calendar of events; an opportunity for members to meet and run or walk with others of similar interests and abilities; scheduled weekday and weekend runs; track work-
outs during spring and summer; potluck socials; free listings for club member's businesses and dis-counts at local stores.

Final bib pick up is tomorrow morning before the race, first runners begin at 0730!

Fall running is here 🍂

We have all been enjoying the cooler temps but the shorter days mean lower visibility on trails during morning runs (and eventually evening runs too).

Feel free to bring a head or chest lamp to any group runs in these coming months!

☕️ Monthly Coffee Run! ☕️

Starts with a 3-6mile run/walk then everyone gets coffee at a local cafe and hangs around for a bit.

No pressure to actually stay for coffee, some people come for the run and then head out.

This is a good way to meet other club members, explore new running paths and bring your friends who might be interested in joining a run club.

All coffee runs are the 3rd Sunday of each month, locations are announced a week or two prior via the club email & Strava group.

The 2nd annual Champion Mine Trail Race in Nevada City, CA will take place October 11. Sign up at the link in our bio or scan the QR code in the photo below.

Along with the 5k and half marathon, we’ve added a 10k to the race selections this year - run it, walk it, jog it, or a combo of all of the above!
