Assisted Central Taney County Fire Protection District with a natural cover fire today. The fire ended up not being as big as they thought but the wind was blowing strong and they didn't want to take any chances. It was great to be able to provide assistance to our neighboring Fire Department!!! (Usually they are helping us!)

MISSING black plastic lid approximately 18 inches in diameter lost somewhere between the fire station and halfway down Brace Hill Road. If anybody found this lid it belongs on our new brush truck. Let us know if you found it and we will come get it!!!

The hospital has finally finished with the surgery on our engine E12. However, the bill is quite painful. The surgery was the only way to put the engine back in service. Please become a donor member of the fire department. We need the help! Now we have to put it back together with all the equipment that we carry on it.

Natural cover fire this afternoon about halfway between KK and Cobel Rd. Spent about 90 minutes knocking the fire down but locating the fire was quite a lengthy task! We could only see it from Cobel Rd. It was completely invisible from KK

Sadly our 1989 E1 engine is currently out of service and in for repairs. The water tank had to be completely removed and an age induced crack had to be welded. Still waiting on some parts to update the water level indicator. The repair is going to be VERY expensive!!! And we're not even completely done paying off the new roof on the station...

HUGE shout out to Central Taney County Fire Protection District for their assistance yesterday at a brush fire on the East side of Cedarcreek. We had several voluneers out of the area (or otherwise unavailable). This emphasizes the fact that WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS!!!
