🚨 **SCAM ALERT – PLEASE READ & SHARE** 🚨
We’ve been made aware of a fraudulent “court notice” circulating that looks very official and intimidating. The image below is an example of what the scam looks like.
⚠️ **What to watch for:**
* Claims of “FINAL COURT-ORDERED” action or urgent legal threats
* Demands for **immediate payment** of fines, tolls, or fees
* Mentions of license suspension, arrest, or “no discretion remains”
* A **QR code** or link directing you to pay instantly
* Pressure to act quickly without giving you time to verify
🚫 **Important to know:**
* Real courts and government agencies **do NOT demand payment via QR codes** or random links.
* Official notices typically come through **verified mail** and provide clear ways to contact the court directly.
* Scammers use fear and urgency to trick people into paying without questioning.
✅ **What you should do:**
* **Do NOT scan the QR code or click any links**
* **Do NOT send money or provide personal information**
* Verify any claims by contacting your **local court or agency directly using official contact info**
* Report the scam to your local authorities or consumer protection agency
