Stefany has spent her career working to lift the lives of everyday people. A business owner and entrepreneur, health care advocate, former city councilor who championed small business; stood up for livable wages and benefits for municipal workers, firefighters, police officers, and teachers; and worked alongside concerned parents to get to the bottom of and address a PFAS issue that poisoned the drinking water at Portsmouth's Pease Tradeport; chair of the police commission who advocated for a responsive, community policing model, body cameras, accountability, and mental health support for police officers; Stefany's devotion to public service is evident in the results she's already delivered for New Hampshire people. She is tried and true, tested and ready.

What is at stake this midterm? I do not believe it is an overstatement to say that our very freedom is in the balance: our only chance of stopping Trump is taking back the US House. We can't take back the House if we don't keep NH CD1 blue. And Stefany is our best chance at keeping this seat blue.

Many prominent leaders and organizations, across the political spectrum, agree, including:
Every Democratic mayor in NH CD 1: the mayors of Dover, Portsmouth, Rochester, and Somersworth;

Both teachers' unions, electrical workers' and state employees' unions, Teamsters and firefighters, and the granddaddy of them all, the AFL-CIO; AND Moms Demand Action for Common Sense Gun Control.

Some who never weigh in in a primary have come out for Stefany; they are so concerned about candidate viability in the general election. They include:

Carol Shea Porter--the people's candidate, who ran "for the rest of us" 24 years ago and

The left-leaning League of Conservation Voters.

And even self-described progressive change candidate Christian Urrutia gave up his bid just this past weekend and put his support behind Stefany.
:
I'm grateful someone of Stefany's fierce intelligence, practical wisdom, and fighting spirit is willing to stand and fight for the things that matter to us. That’s,

a livable future for ourselves and our families, our parents, our children, and our grandchildren;

housing, health care, child and elder care, and groceries we can afford;

clean, affordable energy and the preservation of New Hampshire's pristine land and waters;

strong public schools;

a government we can trust;

a country that leans into the ideals it was founded on, liberty and justice for all.

Tomorrow, your vote will make a huge difference….PLEASE join

Friends, the picture is self-evident ! I’m supporting Stefany Sheehan to fill the seat left vacant by Chris Papas as he campaigns for the U.S. Senate.

Over the years, I have met many of you from my affiliations with different organizations in the Mount Washington Valley, or from my professional career as an educator or as your representative to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. I mention this as I don’t generally endorse other candidates for elected office. In my eight years in Concord, Stefany is only my second endorsement; I take an endorsement very seriously.

Stefany far and away has the best background and experience to represent New Hampshire's interests and concerns in Washington, D.C.

It is my honor and pleasure to recommend to you, Stefany Sheehan for the United States Congress from New Hampshire’s First Congressional District (CD-1).

I ASK THAT YOU JOIN ME IN VOTING FOR -
STEFANY SHEEHAN.

A MESSAGE FROM STEVE- This Father's Day weekend 2026, I'll start my final cross-country motorcycle fundraising ride . Along wit it, this will also conclude my eight years of service as Representative in the New Hampshire. Once I return home, I'll transition to projects closer to my home. and ,more local community service. The following paragraphs have been taken from a fundraising flyer I have been using for : 7 Day 7 K. Please go to the Warrior Foundation Website, see the good work they are doing and please donate on my behalf. Thank you for all of your support these past eight years. The photos are from my last day at the House and my last speech at the Well.

U.S. Army veteran Steve Woodcock will ride in support of the 7Days7K fundraiser, a solo cross-country journey benefiting Warrior Foundation Freedom Station. Woodcock will travel America’s highways for seven days on his Harley, departing Conway, New Hampshire on June 19 and arriving in San Diego, California around June 25. His goal is to raise $7,000 for Warrior Foundation Freedom Station and present checks upon arrival at Freedom Station III, the latest Freedom Station to open in 2024.

“We live in the greatest country in the world, but that freedom comes at a cost,” said Stephen Woodcock. “It’s easy to take it for granted. I’m riding for the Warriors who stepped forward and made sacrifices that have changed their lives forever. Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is doing incredible work helping these men and women recover and rebuild their lives. Now it’s our turn to give back. I encourage everyone to support 7Days7K. If just 70 people donate $100, we can reach our goal.”

Woodcock, 76, served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1973 and went on to a career as a teacher and high school principal. 7Days7K is one of several charitable rides he has undertaken. In 2010, he completed a 43-day, 14,000-mile motorcycle journey around the perimeter of the United States, raising funds for the USO of San Diego. He credits his daughter, Sara, a longtime San Diego resident, for inspiring his commitment to charitable work and for first introducing him to Warrior Foundation Freedom Station.

Warrior Foundation Freedom Station strives to be a leading force in assisting, honoring, and supporting the military men and women who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country. We are dedicated to supporting our Warriors in meaningful ways by providing quality-of-life essentials and a comprehensive range of services that aid them throughout their recovery.

Through programs such as outdoor therapy, adaptive sports, Dress for Success, wellness initiatives, and transitional housing, we empower Warriors to thrive in the next chapter of their lives.

Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Diego. PLEASE go to the website and donate - Thanks www.WarriorFoundation.org.

I know that things are going to get twisted so I want to set the record straight.

I did not vote for an income tax.

I voted for a question to be put on the November ballot for New Hampshire residents to vote on whether or not they want an income tax and IF one is ever put in place that the proceeds from that tax go SOLELY to education and property tax relief.

It’s time for us all to have an adult discussion about revenue in New Hampshire. And it’s time for some of us to show political courage and bring up some difficult topics.

If we continue at the same pace we are at, right now, the state will run out of money and our property taxes will only increase. That is a given. We are here because of years and years of fiscal mismanagement from extremists in Concord who have long ruled under the belief that all taxation is theft.

Which is fine if you don’t want your state to provide any services like tourism promotion, the arts, libraries, help with medicaid, fixing roads and bridges, housing support, fully funding public education, and the list goes on and on and on.

So how do we fix this?

No, believe it or not, the answer is not a sales tax or an income tax.

The answer is to restore the taxes that were cut by the extremists (and which no one asked for in the first place). We need people to pay their fair share of taxes, not get out of paying taxes because they have the good fortune to be wealthy. We need to restore (not create new levels, but restore them to what they were):

Business Enterprise Tax
Business Profit Tax
Interest and Dividends (with a floor)
Rooms and Meals
Car Inspection (we lost a lot of federal money with that one)
School Voucher program (EFA)
We can also look at:
Increased tolls for out-of-staters
Adult use cannabis sale
Homestead tax

We restore those taxes, let the dust settle, and then see where we are. If we don’t restore some taxes, if we don’t create some new revenue, then we literally won’t have enough money to run our state and if we don’t have the money, then who do you think gets to pick up the slack?

That's right - us - the property owners.

We need to raise revenue in New Hampshire and it just can’t all be on the backs of property owners.

I am not saying we need an income tax. In fact, if we level the tax playing field, I don’t think we will need one. I also don’t think we will need a sales tax. However, what I am saying is that I have heard enough people (including locals) telling me that they need property tax relief that they are willing to have an adult discussion about it.

Having a vote on this on the November ballot would be that discussion.

If the answer is no, then it’s no and we look somewhere else for
revenue.

If the answer is yes. Then we do EVERYTHING we possibly can do elsewhere BEFORE we even think about implementing an income tax. It wouldn’t be a done deal, it would just be a tool in our arsenal that we could use if needed.

Get rid of the extremists in Concord and we won’t ever need it.

So no, I did not vote for an income tax. I voted for an amendment which would allow our New Hampshire voters to tell us, once and for all, if they want or do not want an income tax.

I want to thank Wendy Thomas for creating 99% of this post. Her words are much better than mine possibly could have been. And yes, she was one of the 17 brave souls, that walk the walk.

Rep. Wendy Thomas ( D- Merrimack) is a great advocate for the people of New Hampshire. I believe that her removal was more about her leadership in leading the protests and final stoppage of the ICE site in Merrimack, New Hampshire than anything noted in the Speaker's decision noted below.
Statement on the Removal of Rep. Wendy Thomas from the Science, Technology and Energy
Concord, NH — State Representative Wendy Thomas issued the following statement in response to her removal from the House Science, Technology and Energy Committee by Chairman Michael Vose:

“After meeting with Speaker Packard on March 16 where he said he would reflect on his initial decision, I was just informed that I have been removed from the Science, Technology and Energy committee. The reasons cited in our conversation raise serious concerns about transparency, accessibility, and the standards being applied within our legislature.

The first reason given was that a simple and reasonable request was made: that I be referred to as ‘Rep. Wendy Thomas’ in committee proceedings. There are two members with the last name Thomas on the committee, and clear identification is important for the public record, especially for members of the deaf and hard of hearing community who rely on transcripts. This practice was followed without issue in the previous term, yet this year it was denied and eventually caused the chair - Rep Michael Vose to act in a threatening manner to me in the hallway about the request.

Second, I had submitted a required committee report to the Chair. While he has stated that he did not receive it, another recipient copied on the same email did receive it. As a result, the report nearly failed to make it into the House calendar. To ensure accountability and timely processing, I sent my next report directly to the administrative clerk and told the chair I had done so. This step, taken to ensure the integrity of the legislative process, was apparently unwelcome.

Finally, I was told that my removal was due to my ‘attitude.’ When I asked for clarification or a definition of what that meant, I was told, ‘it’s everything you do.’ That is not a standard, it is a dismissal.

Granite Staters expect their elected officials to ask questions, advocate for accessibility, and ensure that government processes work as intended. They also expect consistency in how members are treated and held accountable.

It is worth noting what has not led to removal from committees in this body: inflammatory rhetoric, threats of violence, or extreme statements that undermine the safety and dignity of others. Yet advocating for clarity in public records, ensuring reports are submitted, and “everything I do” is apparently grounds for dismissal.

This decision raises larger questions about how dissent, oversight, and professionalism are handled in the New Hampshire House. Our constituents deserve better.

I remain committed to doing the work I was elected to do, serving my community with integrity, transparency, and a willingness to speak up when something isn’t right.”
