Michigan City of Center Line The Michigan City of Center Line been a community now for over 85 years!

Center Line is a proud community with many families third and forth generations residing in this close-knit community located in the heart of Metro-Detroit. Our children have access to a great school system, awesome local parks, recreation and library services. The residents enjoy one of Michigan's safest communities with so much potential for growth, even as it is fully developed. Business owners have also enjoyed the benefits of a small town as many are still today owned and operated by local residents. The future is bright as the City Downtown Development Authority works closely with business owners to create a walkable, pedestrian friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy. With businesses like Binson's Medical Supply, FCA Mopar, Rinke Chevrolet/Buick/GMC, Crest Ford and Sodecia USA, the community is well supported by a strong tax-base. With the support of our businesses and residents, many great initiatives have begun in Center Line, including the re-establishment of our K-9 Unit, the Center Line Independence Festival, and partnerships built between the local government and business community via the Center Line Business Association. There are homes available if you are looking for a community that has a strong small-town lifestyle and is a great place to live, work and play.

🍂 FALL LEAF SEASON REMINDER! 🍂

As we enter peak fall leaf season, residents may experience delays in yard waste collection through late November due to increased seasonal volumes. Priority Waste will continue working through the weekend as needed to complete yard waste routes.

To help ensure smooth collection, please remember to:
- Place yard waste neatly at the curb.
- Securely close bags with no overflow.
- Keep bags and reusable containers within approved weight limits.
- Clearly label reusable containers “Yard Waste” or “Compost.”
- Only place acceptable yard waste materials out for collection.

For updates and additional information, visit https://www.prioritywaste.com/yard-waste-collection/

Thank you for your patience and cooperation this fall! 🍂

The collection of storm water is an important responsibility of the City of Center Line. The City maintains storm sewer infrastructure ranging from local street drainage to large diameter collection pipes.

In Center Line most storm water is collected in catch basins and makes its way into underground drains maintained by Macomb County. These storm water discharges are permitted by the State of Michigan under a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System permit.

The full text of the City of Center Line Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) document can be reviewed by going to the City’s website, clicking on Departments, Public Works, then Stormwater Management Program.

Only Rain Down the Drain! 🌧️

Did you know that storm drains flow directly into our local waterways? That means what goes down the drain can end up in the rivers, lakes, and ponds we enjoy!

You can help keep our water clean by keeping things like grass clippings, leaves, oil, cleaning products, and fertilizers out of storm drains.

🌿 Small actions make a big difference! Let’s work together to keep Center Line’s waterways clean and healthy.
