Over the weekend, our members took part in a Wide Area Search drill hosted by the Russell Township Fire Department

Training like this supports our regional training initiative and strengthens how we work alongside neighboring agencies. Each year, CVFD responds to several wide area searches and missing person incidents, and every one of them depends on the cooperation of multiple regional partners. Many of these calls take place in the Metroparks, where coordinated, well-practiced teamwork makes all the difference.

Thank you to Russell Township Fire Department for hosting, and to everyone who participated. Building these relationships and skills before the call comes in is how we are ready when someone needs us.

It’s hot out, we‘re ready. Don‘t be one of the thousands that will be injured this weekend. These injuries are completely avoidable.

In Chagrin Falls it is illegal for residents to possess or discharge fireworks, this applies year-round.

While Ohio state law allows the use of consumer fireworks on certain holidays, municipalities are allowed to opt-out and ban them. Chagrin Falls enacted a ban to keep our village safe.
