Go bombers!

10/09/2026

🔋 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞. 🔥

Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are everywhere — in our phones, tablets, laptops, power tools, e-bikes, toys and more.

During Fire Prevention Week, remember these simple charging safety tips:

⚡ Use the charging cord and equipment recommended by the manufacturer.
⚡ Charge devices on a hard, stable surface — not on a bed, couch or under a pillow.
⚡ Stop using batteries that are swollen, damaged, unusually hot, leaking or giving off an odor.
⚡ Unplug devices once they are fully charged when appropriate.
⚡ Keep batteries and charging devices away from heat and direct sunlight.
⚡ Never throw lithium-ion batteries in the regular trash or recycling bin.

A little battery can create a BIG problem when it’s damaged or improperly charged.
