WINNING WEDNESDAY: HOMECOMING EDITION!
What a week to be a Falcon! This Winning Wednesday is about so much more than scores. Homecoming Week gave us school spirit, laughter, service, community, tradition, and plenty of reasons to be proud of Frontier.
It started Wednesday night with Powderpuff, and the SENIORS took the WIN!
Thursday brought our most successful blood drive EVER!
Then came Friday, and what a day it was!
Our Homecoming pep session may have been one of the best yet?! The games were hilariously competitive, Annabelle Layton and Lillie Jaynes fighting over the microphone to sing songs from movies had everyone laughing, Coach Barron had the football team spelling F-A-L-C-O-N-S while doing jumping jacks, and somehow we even got the football team dancing with the cheerleaders!
And how about the SOPHOMORES?! The teachers voted them the winners of the Spirit Bucket for showing the most school spirit!
But one of the most meaningful moments of the week happened before Friday night’s game.
Our community showed up in a BIG way for the Layton family benefit dinner. Bronsyn Layton, a fourth grader at Frontier Elementary and the son of our elementary principal, is battling a rare form of leukemia. Seeing so many people come together to support one of our own was a powerful reminder of what makes this community special. Please continue to keep Bronsyn and the entire Layton family in your thoughts and prayers.
Before kickoff, our 11 senior football players also took time to recognize Frontier staff members who have made an impact on their lives. It was pretty special to watch our seniors turn around and say thank you to the people who have helped them along the way.
Then it was GAME TIME!
The Falcons came ready to play against Tri-County and capped off Homecoming with a WIN and a SHUTOUT! Tri-County never found the end zone, and Chase Winkler was named the WFMS Player of the Game!
Halftime brought another Homecoming tradition as we recognized our court: Cohen Alfano and Bethany Culver, Kevin Altman and Grace Hardesty, Beau Dazey and Lauren Wasson, and Cole Kesler and Sophie Magallanes.
Eli McKay and Kendall Bridwell returned to crown our 2026 Homecoming royalty...
HOMECOMING KING: KEVIN ALTMAN
HOMECOMING QUEEN: LAUREN WASSON
And Kevin wasn’t finished with his weekend! On Saturday, he finished 11th at the Big Z Invite! Another great performance for Kevin and Frontier Cross Country.
This week was a pretty perfect example of what we mean by Winning Wednesday.
Sometimes winning is on the scoreboard. Sometimes it’s crossing a finish line. Sometimes it’s donating blood, recognizing someone who made a difference in your life, showing up for a family that needs its community, winning the Spirit Bucket, laughing with your classmates, or simply making memories together.
Homecoming 2026 gave us a little bit of ALL of it.
