Franklin County is hiring! We currently have an opening for a Business Manager at Franklin County, PA Corrections.

The Business Manager oversees the fiscal and business operations of our correctional facility. This key leadership role is responsible for managing a variety of essential functions, including inmate accounts, fiscal budgeting, procurement and purchasing, inventory management, reconciliation of the inmate store account, and the daily supervision of staff.

Working closely with the Warden, the person in this position helps plan, develop, and implement institutional contracts, oversee fiscal matters, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to support the facility’s overall operations.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, values accountability, enjoys leading a team, and is passionate about serving others and giving back to their community.

Franklin County property owners can rest knowing they can now have an added layer of security in protecting their properties, thanks to the county’s Register & Recorder’s Office.

Property owners can register for Landex Record Alert to receive notifications any time a document is filed referencing the property’s county-assigned, 20-character tax parcel identification number. There is no fee to register to receive alerts. While this notification tool is not intended to replace services offered by paid title security companies, Landex Record Alert provides property owners an optional, added layer of security, knowing they could be notified any time a document is filed or corrected in the Franklin County Register & Recorder’s Office.

On Monday, Helping Hands and Caring Hearts served 151 Franklin County residents at its October food distribution event at the Greencastle Senior Activity Center.

The next distribution will be Monday, November 16 from 10 am to 1 pm. Any Franklin County resident age 60 or older is welcome to receive a free food box of non-perishable items, fruits, vegetables and meats. Hygiene products will also be available to those in need.

As Risk Manager, you would be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive risk management program designed to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all aspects of our organization, including operational, financial, legal, and compliance areas.

The Risk Manager plays a key role in protecting the county’s assets, reputation, and long-term stability. Core responsibilities include the coordination and management of general and professional liability, property, and automobile claims. The Risk Manager is also tasked with planning, implementing, and evaluating programs to assess risk and minimize loss exposure.

Are you interested in giving back to your community? The Franklin County Area Agency on Aging is seeking volunteers for its Home Delivered Meals program through the Waynesboro Senior Activity Center.

The Home Delivered Meal program provides hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors who otherwise would not have access to at least one hot meal every day. As a volunteer, you would be committing to making deliveries every other week.
