Community members are invited to a screening of The Librarians at Spurlock Museum (600 S. Gregory Street, Urbana, IL) this evening at 5:30 pm!

Special guest, Becky Calzada, a librarian featured in the film, will join Emily Knox (Interim Dean of the School of Information Sciences) for a chat after the screening, followed by a Q&A.

Presented in collaboration with the University of Illinois Library, Parkland College, Illinois Heartland Library, and the Urbana Free Library.

✨ Only two weeks until New York Times bestselling author, musician, and screenwriter James McBride joins us on October 8 at 7 pm!

McBride's latest novel, The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store, was named a must-read by The New York Times, TIME, and The Washington Post.

The Main Library and Douglass Branch will close at 5 pm, and doors will reopen at the Main Library at 6:30 pm. Books will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow the presentation.
