As a Chandler-based organization, we are happy to be serving on the task force for the City of Chandler’s Road Safety Action Plan. The RSAP was made possible through the federal Safe Streets and Roads for All program that started in 2021. The plan aims to reduce and eventually end roadway injuries and fatalities for all road users. Feedback is needed from community to inform and shape strategies and solutions. Your voice is needed! Are you a Chandler resident, do you work in Chandler, or do you walk, bike, roll, drive or ride transit in Chandler from time to time? Perhaps you’ve come to visit us in our office! If you’re approached at the polls and feel unsafe, you don’t have to answer questions about your citizenship or eligibility from anyone other than a poll worker. Document what happened and call 1-800-OUR-VOTE.

Poll watchers can observe - they cannot question voters directly, touch ballots or equipment, or campaign inside the polling place. Know the difference between someone doing their job and someone crossing the line.

You have the right to vote even if someone challenges your eligibility at the polls. If something feels wrong, ask for a provisional ballot. Poll workers cannot turn you away.

Arizona Food System Network Annual Survey closes tomorrow!

The annual survey helps us understand who is involved in AZFSN, how they engage, and what their experience has been like.

Information collected from this survey will inform AZFSN’s operations and offerings in the coming year. It will guide both the direction and the work of the steering committee and the structure of the newly re-envisioned Network. Results from the survey will be available at the 2026 annual gathering and online on the AZFSN website.

We encourage individuals working in Arizona’s food system, including farmers and ranchers, market managers, nonprofit staff, food aggregators, researchers, and more.

Survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and closes tomorrow!

We are excited to announce Scott Shigeoka, curiosity expert and author of Seek, as the guest speaker for the 2026 AZFSN Annual Gathering! Scott has worked with global industries, universities, and appeared on TED talks about the power of curiosity and how it can help us become more connected to each other.

Now more than ever, division has been tearing away at the fabric of human connection, and curiosity can be the thread that helps to sew it back together.

Earlier this month, Smart Growth America () released “Dangerous by Design 2026,” a report highlighting the dangers of America’s roadways. According to the report, thousands of pedestrians are killed each year in the U.S. as a result of insufficient funding for road safety.

A key piece of our work at Pinnacle Prevention is ensuring people can move safely and joyfully from place to place. We believe these deaths can be prevented if we begin designing streets for people, not for cars.

Our Interpersonal Violence Policy is our effort to help partners, volunteers, and community members feel safe and protected. We encourage everyone to read our blog post, our IPV Policy, and use our IPV Policy template to help design a similar policy.
