Let Your promise of eternal life and glory be a beacon of hope that is ever set before my eyes, to which I turn for comfort even in the midst of great pain or affliction. Lord, may I take Communion service very seriously, remembering Your death and looking forward to the day of Your return, when we will be in Your presence and no longer need this ordinance. May I hold communion with You in my spirit today and reflect on the love You displayed on the cross and the power with which Your sacrifice is applied to the penitent heart. Amen.(1 Cor. 11:29)

Lord, true knowledge of You is rare in this present world. Though many have heard about You, they do not know You, nor know of Your true nature. But the day will come when all men on earth will know You. The day hastens forth that all sickness, pain, death, sorrow, and misery will cease. We long for Your everlasting Kingdom to come to earth, but we patiently endure the trials of this present age. We know our momentary tribulation will receive an everlasting reward. Amen.(Isaiah.11:9)

Lord, we see good men die young and wicked men live to a ripe old age. We see evil oppressors amass great wealth, while the godly often live in poverty. But the day is coming, we know, when the first shall be last and the last first, when unrighteousness shall no longer be found in the earth. Teach us not to envy the wicked when he gains worldly prominence, for we know his end if he repents not. Amen.(Prov. 10:30)

Yours, Lord, is the true wisdom. Your wisdom is little esteemed, even despised by men, but the supposed wisdom of man is foolishness in Your sight. Godly wisdom will teach us to depart from iniquity, but one sin clinging stubbornly to our hearts can wreak havoc in our lives even when we have much godly wisdom. Amen.(Eccl. 9;18)

If there is no physical malady You cannot cure, then there is no malady of soul You cannot remove. We come to You for the healing of heart and mind. We rely on Your Word and not on man's theories as the path to healing our souls. Amen.(Matt. 8:16-17)

You, Lord, came to your own but your own did not receive you (John 1:11-12), but as many as did receive You become "the sons of God." We are your children by grace, born of God (John 1:13), and have seen the truth of who You really are.
