This week marks the end of my time in North Carolina. I have accepted a position with the Georgia National Guard and report later this month.

I’d like to take a moment to thank the Soldiers, NCOs, Officers, Cadets, students, teachers, parents, high school staff members, UNC ROTC and staff (all branches), and multiple other individuals that made my time here memorable.

To the Soldiers and families that trusted me to enlist you or enlist your loved ones I will always be grateful for the amount of faith you placed in me.

This week The Cedar Ridge Military Club was honored to have Captain Michael Burke as a guest speaker. CPT Burke is currently serving as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at UNC at Chapel Hill Army ROTC. He spoke to the students about his decision to serve, professional development, and lessons learned from his military experience. His presentation gave the club a perspective of not only military service but also balancing service with a life outside the military. Thank you Captain Burke

Please help me welcome PVT Samantha O'Neal and PVT Eduardo Patino to The North Carolina Army National Guard. PVT O'Neal enlisted today as a Automated Logistical Specialist (92A).
