The UNC Music Library supports the classroom, research, and entertainment needs of the UNC campus

The UNC-Chapel Hill Music Library is among the top 10 academic music libraries in the country. Housed in Wilson Library since June 2003, it contains more than 165,000 books and scores, 12,000 microforms, 55,000 audio and video recordings, and over 10,000 rare items, including 4,600 Italian opera libretti from 1600 through the 19th century. The UNC Music Library supports the classroom and research needs of the UNC campus and wider community.

Welcome Thi!!!

Meet Thi, Carolina's new Music and Performing Arts Librarian! 🎸

In her new role, Thi will lead the Music Library, developing programs and services to meet the needs of scholars, creators, performers and music lovers in the Carolina community! She will also be the liaison librarian for programs in the fields of music and performing arts.

In her spare time, Thi enjoys playing jazz electric bass in local bands (or in her office during a break).

Join us at Wilson Library, UNC-Chapel Hill Library 5pm December 9th to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of John Coltrane's A Love Supreme with a lecture by UNC Department of Music's Mark Katz on Jazz Kissa (cafes that specialize in the playing and appreciation of recorded jazz) and an introduction to A Love Supreme by Rahsaan Barber followed by a vinyl listening session.
