WEEK 14 🌟
This week, Det 590 cadets close out the semester with Dining Out—a time for both reflection and celebration. More than a formal dinner, the evening brings cadets and cadre together to recognize outstanding achievements through awards and to reflect on the dedication, discipline, and growth demonstrated throughout the term. Grounded in military tradition, Dining Out offers a moment to step away from routine training and gather in a setting that highlights professionalism, camaraderie, and shared purpose. A fitting conclusion to the semester and a meaningful way to honor both individual excellence and the standards upheld by Det 590.

LLAB 13 ⭐️
For our last LLAB of the semester, Det 590 headed to the OEC to focus on the “how” of field leadership. From the initial LRC Approach Briefs to the high-stakes ex*****on of Mock LRCs, our cadets were tested on their ability to lead under pressure and solve complex obstacles in real-time. These immersive scenarios are where the technical standards of the wing meet the grit of field leadership, and every cadet played a vital role in ensuring the mission was a success.
Additionally, a massive Congratulations to C/Ballard, C/Zymond, and C/Garner on earning their contracts! This is an outstanding achievement and a major milestone in your journey toward the gold bar. 🖋️🫡

PT & LLAB 12 ⭐️
This week for LLAB 12, Detachment 590 focused on the fundamentals of discipline and technical proficiency, transitioning from high-intensity combatives during PT to our final checkrides at the Armory. From the initial Commander’s Call through every tactical evolution, every cadet demonstrated the mental and physical toughness required to meet our training objectives. It is a privilege to be part of a team that consistently strives for excellence on and off the UNC campus, proving that the commitment shown in the field carries through every aspect of our mission!
