September is National Preparedness Month. Having an kit with emergency supplies is important, but so is making sure your kit is up-to-date and the items in it are still good. Your kit should be somewhere where everyone in your home knows where to find it and can grab it and go if you need to leave quickly. You should check your kit on a regular schedule to make sure items are current and unexpired and meet you and your family's needs, which could change over time. It's also a good idea to have a kit for home 🏠, one you keep in your car 🚗in case you can't get home or get stuck away from home, and one for work 💼in case something happens while you're there. For more resources about building, storing, and maintaining emergency kits, visit https://www.ready.gov/kit
