Unfortunately last night while we all slept, while the chickens roosted together and the goats were bedded down in their houses someone decided to vandalize our farm stand. Pumpkins smashed all over the road, yards and in the ditch.
While it wasn’t a HUGE loss of product it was enough to deeply sadden me. I truly love having a full honor system farm stand. I love being a part of the community and being able to help my neighbors and my community members.
The income from our farm stand pays for the chickens that lay the eggs that feed our community. The income from our farm stand help animals in need in and around our community. Every penny goes back to rescues, long term vet bills and daily essentials.
While nothing will stop us from continuing what we love in the animals and our community it wasn’t how I hoped to start my Saturday. I’m choosing to not post the pictures of the damage because it just simply makes me sad and to post a picture of just our beautiful community built farm stand in its seasonal prime.
Everything will continue as usual and I want to extend my gratitude towards my neighbors and my community. Our happy hens will continue business as usual and our jams, honey, eggs, mums and remaining pumpkins are still available via honor system here at Pine Creek Farm. 🧡
