We're here for you, every day of the week, offering full-time and part-time care in a safe and nurturing environment as an extension of the family unit, serving as a supplement to - not a replacement for - the family. We recognize that young children develop optimally through close, affectionate relationships with older people, particularly adults. Each child has a unique rate of development and level of ability, which is expected, valued, and accepted at HLC. We are proud to stimulate the balanced growth of each child physical, emotionally, and intellectually as well; and we believe that young children learn best by interacting with their environment through meaningful play and hands-on experiences based on each child's needs, abilities, and interests.

🎃🌸 A HUGE THANK YOU TO HY-VEE! 🌸🎃

We are feeling extra thankful this week at Hope Learning Center! ❤️

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Hy-Vee for their incredible generosity! This week alone, they donated one BIG pumpkin for EVERY child at Hope Learning Center so each of our kiddos could take home a pumpkin of their very own! 🎃🧡

But the kindness didn’t stop there!

We also want to give a very special thank you to Angie and Jenny from Hy-Vee’s Floral Department! 💐 These wonderful ladies took time out of their day to visit our three-year-old classroom and teach our little learners all about flowers! They brought enough beautiful flowers for each child to create their very own bouquet to take home. 🌷🌼

As if that wasn’t sweet enough, they also brought cookies and frosting so the kiddos could decorate their own cookies! 🍪💕 They even had enough flowers left over to share with every child in our four-year-old classroom!

It’s people and businesses like these that make our community so special! ❤️

The generosity, kindness, and support Hy-Vee, Angie, and Jenny have shown our center mean more to us than words can express. Seeing the excitement and smiles on our kiddos’ faces is truly priceless!

📬💌 SPECIAL DELIVERY OF THANKS! 💌📬

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Kelsey, our Postmaster for taking time out of her busy day to visit our three-year-old classroom at Hope Learning Center! ❤️

She spent time teaching our little learners all about the post office, how mail works, and all the important things our postal workers do each and every day! 📮✉️

Our kiddos loved getting to learn more about the people who help keep our community running!

We are so thankful for community members like Kelsey who are willing to share their time and knowledge with our children. These hands-on learning experiences mean so much and help bring what we’re learning in the classroom to life! 🥰

Today, Miss Jen’s class had so much fun exploring the wonderful world of music! 🎼❤️

Our little musicians spent time learning about music, playing songs, and making some beautiful noise! 🥁🎶

Music is such a fun way for children to learn, express themselves, build confidence, and work together!

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week at Hope Learning Center! 🔥🚒

Last week, our kiddos had a blast learning all about fire safety!

We want to send a HUGE thank you to the Chariton Volunteer Fire Department for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit Hope and teach our children about fire prevention and safety! ❤️

They went above and beyond to make the experience extra special by even taking our older kiddos for a ride in the fire truck! 🚒

We are so thankful for our local heroes and everything they do to keep our community safe! Thank you for creating such a fun, educational, and memorable experience for our Hope kiddos! ❤️🔥
