Charger Nation, it's game week! 🏈

Friday night, our Chariton Chargers take the field against Van Meter — and we'll be there cheering loud for the home team.

While the players get ready, our officers are getting in the spirit too. You may have spotted a little window art going up around town this week.

To the Chargers: play hard, play safe, and leave it all on the field. We're proud of you either way.

To everyone heading to the game: come early, cheer loud, and let's show Van Meter what Charger Nation is all about. Go Chargers!

🚌 STOP FOR THE SCHOOL BUS! 🛑

School buses make frequent stops to get our community’s kids safely to and from school. When those red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended, slow down and stop as required by law.

In Iowa, the rules depend on the type of roadway, so take a moment to review the graphic below. Knowing when you’re required to stop can help prevent a serious crash and, most importantly, protect our children.

Please remember: A few extra seconds of patience can save a life.

📚 Take a minute to review Iowa’s school bus stopping laws and share this post to help spread the word.
