Passport Services by Appointment Only: October 14 - November 3

During the in-person absentee voting period, the Floyd County Auditor’s Office will provide passport services by appointment only from October 14 through November 3.

To schedule a passport appointment, please call the Auditor’s Office at (641) 257-6131.

We encourage anyone planning to apply for a passport during this time to schedule early and review passport application requirements before their appointment.

Today is the LAST DAY to pay without penalty! If you are mailing your payment today, make sure you go into the post office counter and have them postmark your envelope with today's date!! Anything post-marked October 1st and after will have penalty. You can easily pay online today at www.iowataxandtags.org

Important changes heading into the 2026-2027 Iowa Deer Hunting Season.

The Iowa DNR restructured the regulations for Iowa residents by splitting the state into Zone A (91 counties) and Zone B (8 counties in northwest Iowa including Lyon, Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth, Woodbury, Ida, Crawford, and Shelby) in efforts to allow the deer population to recover.
