Fall is in the air, which means pumpkin patches, apple orchards, hayrides, corn mazes, and all those fun family traditions are right around the corner! 🍂

Free Radon Tests Available at Floyd County Public Health Office!

Are you a homeowner in Floyd County? Protect your family’s health by checking the radon levels in your home. Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that can pose serious health risks if it accumulates indoors.

Floyd County Public Health is offering free radon test kits during business hours, from 7 AM to 3 PM.

Important details:

You must be a homeowner to receive a test kit.
Tests are available while supplies last.
Pick up your kit at the Floyd County Public Health office.

Today is a reminder that you never truly know what someone is carrying behind the scenes.

Some people are struggling quietly. They may laugh, go to work, take care of their families, and tell everyone they're "fine" while fighting battles no one else can see.

So today, check on your people.
Send the text. Make the phone call. Sit with them. Listen without judgement. Remind them that they matter.

And if you are the person who is struggling, please know this:

YOU ARE NOT A BURDEN. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. YOUR LIFE HAS VALUE, EVEN WHEN YOU CAN'T FEEL IT RIGHT NOW. Asking for help isn't weakness - it takes incredible strength.
