It is time for EIU Homecoming, which means the Homecoming Parade will take place and travel through Charleston tomorrow (10/24), starting at 9:30AM. There will be temporary road closures and parking restrictions along the parade route. Please slow down and watch for additional pedestrian traffic throughout town, and give yourself extra time to get to your destination, as the traffic flow will be interrupted where the parade route crosses Lincoln Avenue near Domino's and Morton Park.

Reminder: Charleston residents are invited to participate in Community Clean-Up Day, including the disposal of debris and unwanted items from areas impacted by the recent tornado. Residents should bring their items to the Leaf and Limb Facility at 1200 W Madison for disposal. City Public Works employees will be on site to assist.

Items NOT accepted: Hazardous materials, paint, chemicals, tires, batteries, electronics, appliances containing refrigerant, asbestos, medical waste, propane tanks, and other dangerous materials.
