Electronics Recycling Event – October 17

Have an old laptop tucked away in a closet? Cell phones sitting in a drawer? A television or other electronics you no longer use?

The City of Mattoon is partnering with Tech Remove to offer a Community Electronics Recycling Event for City residents.

📅 Saturday, October 17
⏰ 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📍 Williams Elementary School, 1709 South 9th Street

Bring your unwanted computers, laptops, tablets, cell phones, printers, gaming systems, small electronics and more for responsible recycling. Most qualifying electronics are accepted at no charge; fees apply to televisions and CRT monitors. The event will be drive-through for your convenience. Please see the accompanying flyer for accepted items, fees, and additional details.

Give those old electronics a new destination and help keep electronic waste out of the traditional waste stream.

REMINDER‼ We are holding our household hazardous waste event this Saturday from 8am to 3pm at the Coles County Memorial Airport. You must make an appointment to drop off items. Please scan the QR code on the flyer below or copy and paste the link. If you need assistance making an appointment, please call (217)348-0521. This event is open to all Illinois Residents. We will be located in the parking lot on the west side of the restaurant. Hope to see you there!
