🚌 Our Bus Duty Staff — Thank you for greeting students, supervising arrival and dismissal, helping maintain order, and making sure our students get where they need to be safely!

STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PROGRAM!

We are excited to partner with Landmarks for Families to offer the Strengthening Families Program right here at Sanders-Clyde Elementary! 🏫✨

This FREE program is designed for families with children ages 6–17 and provides fun, interactive workshops that help families:

-Build stronger relationships
-Strengthen communication and parenting skills
-Build problem-solving skills
-Promote positive discipline
-Develop social skills
-Reduce conflict
-Enjoy quality family time together

Families can look forward to dinner, childcare, fun activities, gifts, raffles, and prizes at every session! 🎁🍽️🎉

It’s a DOUBLE Friday Arts Feature! 🎵🎨

In music we are celebrating the spooky season with the “Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” in first grade and “Ghost of John” in 3rd Grade.

In first grade…

We read “The Old Lady Who was Not Afraid of Anything” 👞👖👚🧤🎩🎃
Students sequenced the sound effects and assigned the clothing Unpitched percussion based on sounds that hit, shake and scrape. We read the book and added our sounds!!

In third grade…
We sang the ghost of John, 👻🦴
added a bordun on barred instruments, added unpitched percussion sounds and created our own composition phrases as a B section.

In music we are celebrating the spooky season with the “Ghost of John” in 3rd Grade.

In first grade…

In third grade…
We sang the ghost of John, 👻🦴
added a bordun on barred instruments, added unpitched percussion sounds and created our own composition phrases as a B section.

We are celebrating the season in art class this week!

CD scholars started by making festive jack-o-lanterns out of construction paper. They identified their shapes, then arranged and glued them them to create silly faces. 🎃

Later, after reading “The Leaf Thief,” we went outside to collect fallen leaves. Scholars brought their leaves inside to create colorful texture rubbings with crayon. 🖍️ 🍁🍂

In 2nd grade, we read “The Very Last Leaf,” then practiced drawing different types of leaves on dry erase boards. When scholars were confident in their skills, we drew them again on construction paper. We tried something totally new and traced those lines with glue. Once it dried, we used chalk pastels to add warm colors inside the leaves and cool colors around the outside.

🎀💗 SANDERS-CLYDE CANCER WALK 💗🎀

At Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts Elementary School, we are coming together to honor, remember, and celebrate the lives of those affected by cancer. 🩷

Our Cancer Walk is a special opportunity for our students, staff, families, and community to show support for our loved ones who are battling cancer, those who have overcome it, and those we carry in our hearts and memories. 🎀

⏰ Line-Up: 3:15 PM | Walk Begins: 3:30 PM

We will walk together from the school to Columbus Street, Meeting Street, and Jackson Street before returning to school. At the conclusion of our walk, we will release balloons in honor and loving memory of our loved ones. 💗

We invite our Sanders-Clyde family and community to Wear Pink, Walk With Us, and Help Us Spread Hope! 🎀

Together, we stand strong as WARRIORS in the fight against cancer. 💪🏾💗
