🧹 Street Sweeping: Why temporary parking restrictions?

On the East End, many streets rely heavily on on-street parking. When cars remain parked along the curb, street sweepers cannot reach debris that collects along gutters and storm drains. Temporary parking restrictions help crews clean the entire street, improving neighborhood cleanliness and protecting our stormwater system.

📆 Street sweeping begins next week on April 1.

🧹 East End Street Sweeping Returns April 1

Street sweeping will resume on the East End on April 1 — marking the first season operating under the updated parking schedule approved by City Council in 2025.

Because the East End has some of the highest concentrations of on-street parking in the city, temporary parking restrictions allow sweepers to clean curb-to-curb and remove debris from gutters and storm drains.

📅 April 1 - October 31

📍 No parking (westbound side) | Noon - 2 PM on Thursdays
