♟️ We are so thankful to have year two of an after-school chess club with chess coach Mr. Shaver at Edgewood! ♟️

Chess is more than just a game, it’s a powerful learning tool! Students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, patience, concentration, and sportsmanship. It also encourages students to think ahead, learn from mistakes, and build confidence in their decision-making.

We appreciate second grade teacher, Ms. Slaughter for running the after program and chess coach Mr. Shaver for investing in our students and providing an opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun beyond the classroom! 💚💙

Once the E-Wallet is set up, parents/guardians can share the link with friends and family to add to student accounts. Click on the link or below to preview the fair and sign up for an e-Wallet account. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/edgewoodelementaryschool18
