Southern Rhode Island Volunteers SRIV can help you realize your volunteer service goals. You can enrich other's life by joining us.

Our nonprofit recruits, registers, vets volunteers and provides orientation/training in collaboration with our partner agencies. SRIV manages and recognizes its volunteers through its Annual Volunteer Recognition event. By assisting community partners and addressing varied missions and community issues ultimately aims to improve the quality of life for the whole community. Southern Rhode Island Volunteers signature program is our Independent Aging Support Services where volunteers assist elders aging and living in place who reside in one of the nine communities in Washington County or Jamestown, RI. Services include: transportation to medical appointments, delivery of Meals on Wheels of RI and food from local food pantries, assistance with grocery shopping, plus companionship to alleviate isolation. SRIV's third program is its disaster preparedness and response program provides volunteers an opportunity to be trained and ready to respond to crises that affect our region. Volunteers are trained as Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) members and provide assistance in sheltering and other tasks necessary to back up first responders.

What a fantastic day! Thank you to all who volunteered, performed, and visited with their families. Your support helps us provide our local seniors with what they need to age in place successfully. We couldn't do it without you, and the marvelous Debra Tanner, Lindsay Bush, Heather Schwalje, and Malea Petrarca. Thank you, again.
