Yesterday, Chief Michael Paliotta presented several departmental citations and commendations to members of the Charlestown Police Department.

The awards recognized the outstanding actions of our members during several calls for service this past summer, as well as their dedication and contributions to several important departmental initiatives.

We congratulate all of the members who received citations and commendations and thank them for their continued professionalism, dedication, and service to the Charlestown community.

Due to the storm, today’s Car Seat Installation Clinic will unfortunately need to be postponed.

Two members of the Charlestown Police Department are currently attending Rescue Swimmer Training, taking full advantage of the conditions brought in by the nor’easter.

The wind, waves, and rough surf provide valuable real-world conditions for sharpening the skills needed to safely respond to water-related emergencies in our coastal community.

We’re proud of their commitment to continued training and readiness—especially when Mother Nature adds a little extra challenge!

Our last Car Seat Clinic may have been rained out, but we’re giving it another go! ☀️

We’re happy to announce that the clinic has been rescheduled. Stop by and have your child’s car seat checked and properly installed by trained personnel.
