Mr. Hester’s College and Careers class enjoyed several guest speakers during our first quarter to discuss public and private sector opportunities in our area. We want to thank each of these volunteers! Chief Kruse of the Charlestown Police discussed law enforcement opportunities.
Marc Hilldenbrand, Executive Director of River Ridge Development discussed some of the opportunities in River Ridge. Mayor Dr. Treva Hodges shared information about local government. Finally, Josh Hillman, owner of Advantage Built Homes joined us to discuss opportunities in engineering and construction. Thank you again to our volunteers who help bring the real world into the classroom!

Mrs. Bower's Amplify story "Boy" by Roald Dahl shares Dahl's adventures in the local candy store owned by the evil Mrs. Pratchett. The class got the opportunity to try some of the candy that would have been in an English candy store in the mid 1900's !
