The Great American Federalism Bake-Off!

Our AP U.S. Government & Politics students took their understanding of federalism from the textbook to the cake stand! Students designed and decorated cakes representing either dual federalism (layer cake) or cooperative federalism (marble cake), using creative designs and decorations to illustrate how power is divided and shared between national and state governments.

During their presentations, students explained the political concepts behind their designs, connected their creations to the Constitution, and explored real-world examples of federalism in action.

Who knew learning about the division of governmental power could be so sweet? Great work by our AP Gov students!

The Charlevoix High School National Honor Society recently hosted a successful blood drive, collecting 39 units of blood, including 16 donations from CMHS students!

We extend our sincere thanks to the students, staff, and community members who generously donated. Your willingness to give makes a meaningful difference, and our blood drives would not be possible without your continued support.

A special thank-you to Charlevoix McDonald’s for generously providing food for our donors and for consistently supporting our blood drives. We appreciate your partnership and commitment to our community!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this drive a success! ❤️🩸
