The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte Welcome to TMSA Charlotte! We are a tuition-free STEAM-focused public charter school. We are lifelong learners with big hearts.

The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - TMSA Charlotte is a tuition-free public charter school focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math (STEAM) in Charlotte, North Carolina. We serve more than 800 students from kindergarten through 12th grade on our two campuses. TMSA Charlotte was established as Queen City STEM School in 2015 by a group of public charter school advocates who supported effective, diverse, and well-funded public charter schools in North Carolina. Since its opening, QCSS closely cooperated with TMSA Public Charter Schools. This cooperation led QCSS to officially become a TMSA school in June 2022 after the approval of the NC State Board of Education. As our motto, "Science, Wisdom, Peace," signifies, we seek knowledge, pursue wisdom, and foster peace in all we do. Our robust academic program and character education develop students' skills to live in harmony with themselves, with others, and with the natural environment. We are committed to providing exceptional education in a safe, nurturing, and culturally responsive learning environment supported by a strong parent, school, and community partnership.

🌎🎉 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at TMSA Charlotte Secondary School! 🎉🌎

What a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the beauty of diversity, culture, and unity within our TMSA Charlotte Secondary School community!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, our school community came together to recognize and celebrate the rich history, vibrant traditions, and remarkable contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

At TMSA Charlotte Secondary School, we believe that cultural diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Celebrations like this provide meaningful opportunities for our students to embrace different cultures, appreciate unique perspectives, and develop a deeper understanding and respect for one another.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing students, dedicated teachers, staff members, and families who contributed to making this celebration meaningful and memorable!

Together, we continue to build a school community where every culture is valued, every voice is heard, and every student feels a sense of belonging! ❤️

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana! 🎊

Get ready to show off your style! 👕✨ We are excited to launch our new monthly tradition: Thursday Threads!

🗓 When: Thursday, Oct 22

💵 Cost: $3 (Cash Only)

How it works:

1️⃣ Bring $3 cash to your homeroom teacher by 8:00 AM.

2️⃣ Receive your wristband to participate!

📌 Reminders: All outfits must remain school-appropriate (no hoodies, ripped jeans, or tears). Participation requires the $3 fee—students arriving out of uniform without paying will need a parent/guardian to bring a uniform.

Thank you for helping us keep this tradition fun, organized, and appropriate for everyone! 💛🖤
