In recognition of Earth Day, we present “Me and Marvin Gardens” by Amy Sarig King. This is a middle-grade novel about a boy named Obe who discovers a strange, plastic-eating creature in a creek near his home, which he names Marvin Gardens.

In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, we present “Driven to Distraction” by Edward Hallowell and John Ratey, a seminal book that explores Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD) in both children and adults, debunking myths and offering a new perspective on the condition as a neurological difference, not a character flaw.
