Where we build affordable housing matters. 🏘️

I will support financing for 285 affordable apartments: 85 at Weddington Road Apartments in District 7 and 200 at Westline Flats in District 3.

In District 7, we’re expanding access to strong schools and jobs. In District 3, we’re building affordability into west Charlotte’s future, with the planned Silver Line and growing opportunities like the River District.

Both projects will serve households earning up to 60% of area median income. This vote authorizes INLIVIAN’s bond financing without financially obligating the City.

Charlotte’s growth should include places families can afford to call home.

BEFORE THE VOTE
Public land, affordable homeownership and the 20-year question

Affordable homeownership is the goal. But if Charlotte transfers nearly $1 million in public land for $1, should affordability protections end after 20 years?

Families should be able to build equity, and our public investment should keep working for future families, too.

Safer, better-connected neighborhoods in Southwest Charlotte! 🚶🏾‍♀️🚲

We recently celebrated new mobility improvements in the Arrowood Strategic Investment Area, including safer crossings, sidewalks, ADA upgrades, lighting, and more.

This is what infrastructure investment should look like: improvements residents can see, use, and feel every day.
