Mixed Metaphors will present SwimCap, which combines traditional theatre, visual art, and aerial performances to trace the ways that Black swimming has shaped Charlotte.
This powerful multi-sensory show will “move you through the past, present and future of Black swimming,” says Kat Martin, Mixed Metaphors co-founder. “You’ll see and participate in art of different mediums in a festival-style experience that culminates in a celebration of Black swimming.”
Show dates: 8/18 - 8/20 2:00pm Sat and Sun, 7:30 nightly at The Brooklyn Grace Church uptown
