Zach and Annie’s son Wyatt, had a swimming accident and has been at the hospital and we are doing the benefit to raise money for whatever expenses they may have.

Praying for our brothers and sisters of CMPD!

Officer Joshua Eyer has passed away tonight from his injuries after being shot in the line of duty this afternoon while assisting other officers with the apprehension of a suspect. Officer Eyer faithfully served the CMPD’s North Tryon Division for six years and was a member of the 178th Recruit Class. We are forever indebted to Officer Eyer for his bravery and ultimate sacrifice. His life and service will never be forgotten. Please say a prayer for Officer Eyer’s loved ones during this difficult time.

Help us wish CAPTAIN DAVID BOWMAN the best of luck as he heads to the 2023 U.S. National Firefighter Challenge Championship, where he will be defending his title as the United States champion in the Male Age 50+ individual category.

Joining 300 firefighters from around the country, Bowman has been competing for 25 years and has won multiple titles.

The firefighters are expected to come from over 125 fire departments in 19 states. They’ll compete in events similar to real-life firefighting, such as a tower climb, hoisting, chopping, dragging hoses and rescuing a life-sized, 175-pound “victim” as they race against opponents and a clock.

The firefighters will wear full turnout gear and a self-contained breathing apparatus as they compete.

Bowman’s calendar doesn’t stop after this competition. He has already been invited to the World Games in October.

Bowman is a Charlotte native and Myers Park High School graduate and holds a degree in Fire Science. He joined Charlotte Fire in 1997 and is currently assigned to Firehouse 10.

On Memorial Day, Charlotte Fire honors those who gave their last full measure of devotion. We can never repay the debt we owe these fallen heroes. We are forever grateful for those courageous people who answered the call, willing to give their lives for what we all hold dear as they sacrificed for our freedom.
