‼️MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY TRASH COLLECTION UPDATE 🇺🇸
Our Solid Waste Department has announced a temporary adjustment to the trash collection schedule for next week (May 25th - 29th). Please review the revised schedule below to ensure your bins are rolled out on the correct day:
📅 Revised Collection Schedule:
Monday, May 25: NO COLLECTION (Offices Closed)
Tuesday, May 26: Monday’s Route will be collected
Wednesday, May 27: Tuesday’s Route will be collected
Thursday, May 28: Wednesday AND Thursday’s Routes will be collected
Monday, June 1: Regular schedule resumes
💡Important Reminders:
Please place your carts at the curb the night before your revised collection day.
Please leave your cart at the curb for the full day, as it will take collection crews longer than usual to run double routes on Thursday.

No Wire Transfers: We will NEVER ask you or your company to wire money for any reason.
What should you do?
Stay vigilant! If you receive a suspicious request, phone call, or email claiming to be from the City:
Do not provide any financial information.
Do not wire any funds.
Contact us directly to verify the request.

SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
Lincoln County Commissioners and Lincolnton City Council will hold a joint Special Called Meeting Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the Board Room at the Lincoln County Administration Building, 353 N. Generals Blvd. Lincolnton.
The subject of the meeting is to discuss the funding model between Lincoln County and the City of Lincolnton.

🚧 Upcoming Street Paving & Resurfacing 🚧
The City of Lincolnton Public Services Department has scheduled paving and resurfacing projects starting next week. Please take note of the following schedule:
Monday, May 4th: Third Street (from Monroe Street to the dead end) will be milled and resurfaced.
Tuesday, May 5th: Hartman Street (from Salem Church Road to the entrance of Planet Fitness) will be resurfaced.
JTR will be onsite performing the work. Residents and motorists should prepare for potential delays and temporary traffic changes in these areas. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our city streets!
