Have you met our Housing Intern, Kara? Kara is an MSW student at Florida State University who aims to advocate for underserved youth after graduation. You may have seen her in the Center recently updating our employment info board or helping put together our food boxes! Outside of her studies, she loves music and her dog Athena. 💜☀ Welcome Kara!

The GROW Coalition will be visiting our Center to host two focus groups on wellbeing for gender expansive young adults ages 18 - 24! Participants will be compensated for their time, energy and expertise. Use the QR code to register for a session, held on either June 29 or June 30. We're glad to uplift informed and trans-inclusive research.💜

It's a big week for us here at TOY! We're traveling around Charlotte for Camp OUT programs, celebrating a June & July birthday Friday, and heading over to Charlotte Black Pride on Saturday! Camp OUT programs, with the exception of our game day celebration on Friday, require pre-registration and all currently have waitlists. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a space. Note: we will not host drop-in on Saturday. We cannot wait to celebrate the week with our young people!

Launching: Camp OUT 2026! Register NOW for our annual week of daytrips for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 - 24. This year we'll be visiting the Mint Museum, exploring archery, making pottery, and riding coasters at Carowinds. We'll wrap up the week with a day of camp games and a taco bar here at the Center.
