The mission of Your Marriage Can Succeed is to equip couples with the tools necessary to succeed in marriage. Marriage is tough enough by itself.
Equipping Couples to Succeed by encouraging them to WORSHIP the Lord together, equipping them to COMMUNICATE positively and helping them restore ROMANTIC love via relationship seminars, couple's night out and weekly Blogs. We do that by encouraging couples to seek the Lord together, equipping couples with the tools to communicate effectively and organizing interactive activities that restore roman
tic love.
• Seek the Lord Together. It is even tougher when you do not have a vibrant relationship with the Lord as an individual and as a couple. It is the Lord who has ordained marriage. So why not put our trust in Him to help us succeed in our marriages? Therefore, we encourage couples to worship together, pray together and serve the Lord together.
• Positive Productive Communication. Positive Productive Communication is paramount to the success of a marriage. All couples have their fair share of disagreements. However, if we can communicate in a positive productive manner, we can prevent the small disagreements from turning into major battles and the major battles from turning into a stagnant relationship and a stagnant relationship from turning into divorce. Therefore, we seek to equip couples with communication techniques that will help them discuss and resolve their differences productively. In addition, we seek to help couples communicate in each others love language. Love is a wonderful thing if shared properly. Unfortunately, there are so many couples who are not effectively sharing their love for one another. He loves her and she loves him but that love is not being conveyed to one another in a manner in which it can be received. Through our seminars and couple’s outings, we seek to help couples communicate with one another lovingly.
• Restoring Romantic Love. For so many couples, poor communication, unresolved issues, children, careers and ministry has robbed their relationship of romantic love. Their marriage has become a series of business transactions. We seek to restore the zest of the relationship to the dating and honeymoon days through positive productive communication, interactive exercises, music and quarterly functions. Mission Implementation. In order to accomplish the above goals, we will conduct relationship seminars, host quarterly couple’s night out functions and write encouraging but challenging weekly blogs. Your Marriage Can Succeed Relationship Seminar. Say I Won\'t Dare 2 B Differen
I am a big "gospel rap" fan. I know that does not sound like something a preacher should say but it is true. As a child of the late 80's and 90's, I grew up listening to Run DMC, LL Cool J, Tupac and Biggie Smalls. However, once I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I stopped listening to those…
The Power of Relationship
What is salvation? That is the question we recently asked our Sunday school class. After receiving various responses, we turned to John 17:3 where the bible says "Now this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."
The Manner In Which We Should Wa
We are blessed! We are blessed with a Father who loves us and has taken action to demonstrate that love. Keenly aware of this truth, the Apostle Paul passionately challenges us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called.(Ephesians 4:2-4)
The Passionate Plea of a Prisoner!
What are you passionate about? What is that one thing that invigorates you, energizes you and motivates you. What is that one thing that brings joy to your entire being?
The Mindset of a Prisoner!
When I was a child, there were times when I allowed the temptations of life to usher me into disobedience. Fortunately for me, my loving parents responded with an appropriate punishment. While I disliked getting a whooping, I despised being sent to my room for elongated periods of time. Hours seem…
There\'s A Bright Side Somewhere
Jesus had to go through Samaria because He had a spiritual appointment with a spiritually bankrupt lady. The woman at the well was a mess. She had been married five times and the man she was currently with was not her husband either. While Jesus was well aware of her situation, He did not come to…
Let\'s Get Busy - Together!!!
In the winter of 2011, my wife and I were in search of a church home. We were attending one of the mega churches in our area but it just did not feel right. While the preaching was fantastic, we did not feel connected. Since we were both saved and nurtured in small churches where everybody knew e…
We Have Been Made Alive!
It is my favorite time of year again. The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. The barbecue grills are sizzling. Kids are playing outside. Baseball season is near. And people are sneezing. Well, I can do without the pollen induced sneeze attacks. However, I have learned that there are tim…
In Him
In the spring of 1996, my mom called me with news that my sister was getting married soon. When I arrived home from Germany for the wedding, I noticed that there was something different about my little sister. She was no longer the smart-mouth party girl looking to have a good time. Instead, she was…
Does Your Marriage Need An I.V.?
My mindset this morning in God is so AWESOME. He allowed me to rejoice in 2 miracles over the past 2 days. First a church member was healed of stage 4 cancer. He asked for prayer earlier in the month of Feb. He had previously survived 2 bouts of cancer and the doctors told him it was back with a…

Do you have a "to-do" list? If you are like me, you have a list of items from various areas of your life to include work, church, family and household chores. The list may be stored on your smartphone, written on a piece of paper, stored in your mind or dreadfully embedded in your spouse's mind. …
