Our community, our state and our country lost four heroes yesterday. While protecting and serving our city, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Joshua Eyer, NC Department of Adult Correction Officers Samuel Poloche and William Elliott, and Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas Weeks made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and all those who loved these heroic men.
