U.S. Reserve Army Drill Sergeant Recruiting / 108th Training Command (IET) To serve as a Drill Sergeant is deemed as the single most rewarding job in the Army.

Noncommissioned Officers (NCOs) have been coined the "backbone" of the Army. This is certainly true of Drill Sergeants who have a tremendous responsibility. When a Drill Sergeant Candidate receives their hat, they've demonstrated preparedness to train recruits to become the best Soldiers in the world.

Now, is the time to become an Army Reserve Drill Sergeant!

Conversion Bonus (CB):
Is 3 years $4000. This is when a Soldier that is not in the window to reenlist. This will be a TPU-TPU transfer. 3 years start upon completion of Drill SGT Academy.
The Soldier cannot have been in a DS position in the last 12 months, prior to 1 June 2020.

C4 Option:
For TPU Soldiers not currently possessing SQI “X” who are reenlisting into the USAR DS program.
- 36-47 months $3000
- 4 years $4000

Selected Retention Bonus (SRB):
Is for a Drill SGT with the X Identifier. First Term/Careerist DMOSQ
- 24-35 months $2000
- 3 years $3000
- 37-47 months $3100
- 4 years $4000

Enlisted Affiliation Bonus (EAB):
Coming from Active Duty or IRR (if eligible).
- DMOSQ: 4 years $20000 / 3 years $9000
- NDMOSQ: 4 years $15000

Prior Service Bonus (PS):
This is for a Soldier that had served in the Military before and has ETS.
That Soldier will have to go through a Recruiter to come into a Drill SGT Unit.
-DMOSQ: 4 years $20,000 / 3 years $9000
-NDMOSQ: 4 years $15,000

As an AGR, you could have an opportunity to work at the Drill Sergeant Academy as a Drill Sergeant Leader.

This process goes like this:

1. You must interview with the DS Academy during one of the designated dates and locations.
2. Upon acceptance from the interview, you will coordinate with your branch for release and PCS to attend Drill Sergeant School.
3. Upon successful completion of the DS School, you will be detailed to one of the Brigades at FT Jackson for a period of 6 months to get your trail time and certification.
4. You will return to the DS Academy to complete your tour.

Your main contact for pursuing this opportunity will be with the DS Academy, S1, MSG Caston.

She can assist coordinating your interview.
