Tax Day for individuals extended to May 17: Treasury, IRS extend filing and payment deadline | Internal Revenue Service IR-2021-59, March 17, 2021 — The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service announced today that the federal income tax filing due date for individuals for the 2020 tax year will be automatically extended from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021.

$335 grant to pay for virtual schooling, childcare costs now available for North Carolina parents, guardians The North Carolina Department of Revenue is now accepting applications for a $335 extra credit initiative for parents and guardians to assist with virtual schooling and child care costs.

As of this week, the Federal government has begun the process of releasing Economic Impact Payments to taxpayers via direct deposit. Although most of these payments are expected to go directly to taxpayers, we received notification that payments are being sent to Republic Bank for approximately 6% of our bank product customers who received a Check or Netspend bankcard. Republic bank will be processing these payment and mailing them directly to the taxpayer. Perfect Choice Tax Service DID NOT receive any taxpayer stimulus payment. Please be patient and allow the Republic Bank to get the payments out to you. Please keep in mind the IRS is still processing payment daily.
